What's the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy trophy?

Commander-in-Chief's Trophy: awarded since 1972 to the season's winner of the three-way series among Army, Navy and Air Force, it's 2.5 feet tall, weighs 170 pounds and has three silver footballs arranged in a pyramid, each above its academy's crest and a silver mascot figure.

How did the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy start?

Air Force and Army first met on Halloween 1959 at Yankee Stadium in front of 67,000 fans, and the game ended in a 13-13 tie. After that game and two more at Soldier Field in Chicago in 1963 and 1965, the series moved to the two campuses, with a return to a neutral site at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, in 2021. The game is normally played the first Saturday in November and is one of three games that decide the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy, which the president presents to the winning academy. If the three academies split their games, the trophy stays with the previous winner.
